| Gateway Bank holds security in the highest
regards. All of our Online Banking features are run over secure connections
and data is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our Internet
Banking requires a browser capable of handling 128-bit encryption.
Most internet browsers now support this level of security. However,
some support only 40-bit encryption. These browsers will allow you
to log onto our Internet Banking, but you may experience errors and/or
security warnings. For security reasons, we do not choose to specify
our exact security measures, but we want to make sure you feel secure
when doing your banking online. |

On July 22, 2010, FDIC deposit insurance permanently increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor. All funds in a “noninterest-bearing transaction account” are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
The term “noninterest-bearing transaction account” includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts.
